In case of problems take a look at the migration hints:
  https://tomcat.apache.org/migration-9.html

Usually the start section of server.xml has updated.
Do something like
  $EDITOR /usr/share/jpkg-tomcat8/apache-tomcat-9/conf/server.xml server.xml
and maybe sync the Listener lines.
